Parkloop — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 August 2026

Parkloop ("we", "us") operates the Parkloop mobile applications for drivers and parking owners. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal data.

Information we collect

DataWhy we collect it
Name and email addressTo create and secure your account.
Mobile numberBooking confirmations and parking-operator contact.
Vehicle registration number and typeTo assign a suitable parking spot and verify your vehicle at the gate.
Approximate or precise locationTo show nearby parking and provide directions. Only while you use the app, and only with your permission.
Booking historyTo show your bookings, receipts and to resolve disputes.
Payment records (amount, status, transaction reference)To confirm payment and settle amounts to parking owners.
Photos you upload (parking listings)Only if you list a parking space, to display it to renters.

Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Card numbers, UPI PINs, bank credentials and similar payment details are entered in Razorpay's own secure interface and are never collected, seen or stored by Parkloop. We store only the transaction reference, amount and status. Razorpay's handling of your data is governed by Razorpay's privacy policy.

How we use your information

Sharing

We share only what is necessary to deliver the service:

We do not sell personal data and do not share it with advertisers.

Location

Location is used only to find nearby parking and provide navigation. You can deny or revoke this permission in your device settings at any time; the app remains usable, with parking searched by area name instead.

Storage and security

Data is stored on Google Firebase servers in the Mumbai (asia-south1) region. Access is restricted by security rules so that you can read your own bookings, and parking owners can see only bookings at their own facilities. Traffic is encrypted in transit.

Retention

We keep your account and booking records for as long as your account is active.

When you delete your account, your personal data is retained for up to 3 months after deletion, and only for these purposes:

After that 3-month period the data is permanently deleted. What remains afterwards is a de-identified transaction record — amount, date, facility and platform fee — with your name, email, mobile number and vehicle number removed, so it can no longer be traced back to you. Indian tax and accounting law requires us to keep those records.

Your rights

You can access or correct your profile in the app. You can delete your account yourself from Profile → Delete my account in the Parkloop app or the Parkloop Owner app. We then email a confirmation link to your registered address; the account is locked as soon as you request it, and is permanently deleted within 72 hours of you confirming by email. If you never confirm, nothing is deleted. To request a copy of your data instead, email us at the address below.

Deleting your account: see Delete your account for what is removed, what we are required to keep, and how to make the request — from the app or from the web.

Children

Parkloop is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.

Changes

We will update this page if this policy changes and revise the "last updated" date above.
